D.J. started photography seven years ago and has since embraced a wide range of subjects, from astro and macro to fungi, flowers, water drops, and abstract work. Inspired by challenge and experimentation, he is always seeking new ideas and creative directions.
Originally from Dublin, Anne moved to Wexford eight years ago. She got her first camera from her dad when she was 4, he was a photographer. She's been taking pictures for over 60 years and have always loved nature photography, including macro, as well as seascapes. She's also a fan of astro-photography.
Marie is interested in all types of photography, particularly abstract, street, and especially flower photography, which she combines with interest in gardening by growing the subjects of her photos.
Inspired by the natural colors surrounding the flowers in her garden, Marie paints her own backgrounds and then photographs the carefully composed final arrangement.
Growing up, Lucy was captivated by the art of photography, and now she strives to express the world's diverse emotions and experiences through her lens.
Ger, originally from Dungarvan Co. Waterford, has been involved in photography for over 45 years. He likes a mix of subjects, from landscapes, to sport, to portrait.
Bart mainly likes to capture what our planet has to offer—the beauty of nature—as well as our interactions with it. Some of them are fleeting and temporary, while others carry the marks of time and the memories of yesteryear.
Wexford Camera Club was founded in 1979 by a number of enthusiastic amateur photographers who believed that sharing ideas and expertise was the way to better their own skills and to encourage others to take up photography.
