Philip's journey into photography began when his father introduced him to his ancient ‘Box Brownie’ camera. Philip was captivated by his father's ‘snap shots’ of Bedouin men, women and locations captured during his time in North Africa in the mid 1940’s.

Later, when in his late teens, Philip purchased his first camera and, as the story often goes, ‘never looked back’. He was primarily interested in land and seascapes, which in turn led to flora and fauna photography and eventually into the domain of having his own studio photography where he enjoys studio portraiture.
