These images taken over the course of several years in Ireland include both local and national locations. Astrophotography offers a stunning perspective of our universe, capturing the beauty of the night sky, the ethereal dance of the auroras, and the breathtaking expanse of the Milky Way. Each of these elements presents unique challenges and rewards for photographers.
The auroras, with their vibrant colours and dynamic movements, require specific conditions and timing to capture their fleeting beauty. Meanwhile, the Milky Way, our galaxy, showcases its grandeur. With careful planning regarding location, timing, and light pollution considerations photographers can create mesmerizing images that evoke a sense of wonder about our place in the cosmos.

Christmas is coming and children everywhere are excitedly writing to Santa asking for that one special toy. But spare a thought for the toys of Christmas past, the lost toys, the no-longer-loved toys.
These toys were all wanted once, played with or cuddled. Now they are all alone and far from home. Some will be missed by their children while others will go unnoticed and still others will have just been discarded when they were no longer wanted. Chucked away!
Do you recognise any of these toys? Perhaps, you lost a toy just like one of these. Do you miss it and wonder where it is now?
I always feel a little sad when I come across lost toys like these and wonder how they feel about being abandoned.
This exhibition shows just a few of the brightly coloured toys I have stumbled across that were lost by children. They appear jolly but really they are polluting our natural environment. I feel I am doing something to help by collecting discarded rubbish on the beaches near where I live in Duncormick. I photograph what I find and think about the small personal tragedies alongside the serious damage to our environment.

Description of this exhibition paraphrases the famous statement made by former President of Ireland, Mrs. Mary Robinson.
Ireland has enjoyed the many new benefits of a developing multi-cultural and multi-racial society. These images feature women, not born in Ireland, but who have made our home their home too.
The photographs serve to express my sincere gratitude for their contributions to Irish society with their wide ranging talents, traditions and indeed their beauty.

‘The Sunflower is mine’ said Vincent van Gogh.
Well I’m no van Gogh but the flowers and plants here are really mine. I plant them, keep an eye on them, nurture them as they grow and I love them all.
I choose the best time to go out and collect my flowers or plants. Inside I begin, aiming to capture elements of their transient beauty. When happy with what I see, then I turn the image into a creation that is mine sometimes using mixed media in the background to repeat colours or build textures.
